History of the Brand
Created in 2008, LCDS was set up following its French founder’s main passions for food and business innovation. Today, the company ethos remains unchanged- we offer top quality products and services with respect to tradition and French eating habits. We operate from Llantwit Major, South Wales and sell a range of quality produce to Farmers Markets, shops, delis and restaurants. We also cater for every occasion offering something truly unique. We believe that to eat a good crêpe is a very enjoyable experience. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do!
Why ‘La Crêperie de Sophie’ then? Because there is a lovely woman behind the founder’s inspiration… In fact, Sophie is the vital element of the company, and nothing would have ever started without her support. She’s unknown for most, behind the scene for others, but always in the heart of the business for us…
Why the Breton Flag too? Because crêpes and buckwheat, gluten-free galettes were first made in Brittany, France. To date, the tradition remains: a true ‘Breton’ wouldn’t spend a week without their favourite treat, accompanied with great cider of course!
